Wisła Kraków in the CLJ! Unbeaten U-19 and U-17 teams after a tough match, and a goalless draw for the U-15s!
Wisła Kraków's youth teams have played another round of matches in the Central Junior League. The weekend brought mixed feelings: from a resounding victory for the U-19s, to a challenging U-17 match, and finally a solid league debut for the U-15s.
Wisla Krakow U-19
Wisła Kraków U-19s faced a strong Zagłębie Lubin away from home in the third round of the Champions League. The match went Wisła's way from the start. First-half goals from Marcel Świerczek and Eryk Daczewski gave Wisła a 2-0 lead. However, the youngsters continued their momentum after the break, with Świerczek adding another goal and Kacper Gut securing the victory, whose goal was initially ruled an own goal. Ultimately, Wisła won 4-0 and now boasts a perfect record after three rounds.
Wisla Krakow U-17
The U-17s hosted their peers from Stomil Olsztyn in Myślenice. The match was evenly matched and played at a cautious pace. Wiktor Balcer scored for Wisła in the first half, but their opponents also found the back of the net. After the break, both teams struggled to find their next goal, but it was the visitors who managed to score the second goal, securing a 2-1 victory. Wisła U-17's record after three rounds is one win, a draw, and a loss.
Wisla Krakow U-15
The U-15s also began their league campaign, facing off against newcomers Resovia Rzeszów away in the first round. Both teams displayed solid defensive organization, preventing any offensive attempts from yielding any results. The match ended in a goalless 0-0 draw, with the young Wisła players demonstrating they can be a formidable opponent for any opponent.
