Wisła II: No points in Nowy Targ
In the 30th round of the Betclic III League, Karol Nędza's players faced NKP Podhale Nowy Targ away. The Kraków team was forced to concede superiority, losing 2-4. Wisła's goals came from Igor Woś and Karol Tokarczyk (penalty).
The match began with a powerful attack from the hosts, who quickly imposed their own rules and forced Wisła onto the defensive. In the fifth minute, Marcinho broke through on the right wing, dribbled past a defender, and crossed into the penalty area, where Burkiewicz capitalized on a moment of hesitation in the Kraków defense to open the scoring. Podhale followed suit, while Wisła struggled to get out of their own half. After a corner, Mirosznik first beat Stępak to a header, then connected with the ball himself and extended the lead from close range. The White Star struggled to recover from the difficult start, but the home side's well-organized defense effectively thwarted their attempts. In the 24th minute, Podhale once again surprised. This time, Burkiewicz stepped up as an assist, and Marcinho headed home the ball to make it 3-0 in the first half.
Determination wasn't enough
After the break, the complexion of the game began to change. Although Podhale scored the fourth goal, again thanks to Burkiewicz, who struck from distance, Wisła refused to give up. The Kraków team returned to the pitch with renewed energy and quickly took the initiative. In the 60th minute, after a brilliant free kick, Woś rose highest in the penalty area and scored the Kraków team's first goal with a powerful header. The players felt the match wasn't over yet. With each passing minute, they attacked the opposing goal with increasing boldness, creating further opportunities. In the 83rd minute, after a foul on Khromykh, the referee awarded a penalty. Tokarczyk stepped up and fired a confident shot to make the score 4-2. The final period belonged to the Kraków team, who dominated the pitch and fought until the very end. Although they failed to make up for the deficit, the second half demonstrated the character, determination, and potential of the Wisła Kraków players.
