Coming back with three points: #TYCWIS preview
On Friday, May 9th at 8:30 PM, Wisła Kraków will face GKS Kraków away at the Municipal Stadium in Tychy in the 32nd round of the Betclic 1st League. For the White Star, fifth in the table with 53 points, this is a crucial match in their fight for promotion. GKS Tychy, eighth with 49 points, is fighting to stay in the top tier.
Wisła's form is built on a run of ten points from their last five matches (three wins, one draw, and one loss). They have triumphed over teams such as Warta Poznań, Chrobry Głogów, and Pogoń Siedlce, shared the points with Termalica (2-2), and most recently lost at home to Wisła Płock (1-3).
GKS Tychy has also been consistently scoring goals: in their last five matches, they have recorded 11 points (3 wins, 2 draws), drawing with Znicz Pruszków (2-2) and defeating ŁKS Łódź (3-1). The evenly matched style of both teams promises a fierce competition.
Wisła will travel to Tychy slightly weakened - central defenders Wiktor Biedrzycki and Mariusz Kutwa, midfielder Patryk Gogół, Bartosz Talar, Piotr Starzyński and Kacper Skrobański will not play.
The last three direct matches against GKS Tychy resulted in two defeats for Wisła (1:0) and one draw (0:0), and in the last six matches Tychy won three times, Wisła two, and one match ended without goals.
Defense and efficiency will be key – Wisła has kept ten clean sheets, seven of which at home, and Ángel Rodado has scored 22 goals. GKS boasts 12 clean sheets for goalkeeper Marcel Lubik. Despite their respect for their opponent, Wisła's goal is to secure full points.
Only three points!
