Back in the fight for promotion: #WPŁWIS match preview
In the 27th round of the league, Wisła Kraków will face its namesake team, Wisła Płock, away. The match against Nafciarz will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 5:30 PM.
Wisła are heading into the match in Płock with the knowledge that there's no margin for error at this point. When asked about this by journalists, Albert Rude confirmed that the team had a valuable discussion about the current situation and is aware that they must respond positively in the upcoming match.
Getting all three points won't be an easy task. The "Wisła derby" has become accustomed to its close nature, as exemplified by the goalless draw in the last meeting between the two teams. The Oilers utilize a five-man defensive unit and employ a very high pressing style, which can make it difficult to play from the back. Both teams have accumulated 41 points so far and are just outside the relegation zone, which only serves to underscore the tenacity of each side.
The match in Płock will be the start of a three-game away streak for the Kraków team. In the coming weeks, the coach will undoubtedly need as wide a squad as possible at his disposal. The medical team is working hard on this, gradually and effectively narrowing down the injured list. Unfortunately, Goku suffered an injury this time after the last round, and Dawid Szot, Jesus Alfaro, and Bartosz Jaroch, whose suspension our team failed to appeal, are all sidelined due to suspensions.
Only victory!
