This weekend, November 15-16, young Wisła players return to the CLJ competition!
Znicz Pruszków - Wisła Kraków U-19
November 16, 1:00 p.m., Pruszków, Bohaterów Warszawy 4
After an exceptionally intense and unpredictable first half of the season, Wisła Kraków U-19 players are preparing for their final match before the second round. This time, they face Znicz Pruszków on the road. Wisła currently sits in sixth place in the table, which still puts them in contention for the top spots. However, in the previous round, the White Star's players were forced to concede victory to Escola Varsovia. Znicz Pruszków will enter the match in 12th place, the last place they can stay in the league. The hosts also struggled to recapture their previous run of games, having lost their away match to Arkonia Szczecin 3-1. Both teams have a clear goal: to get back on the winning track and gain extremely valuable points that could significantly impact the standings before the second phase of the competition.
Wisla Kraków U-17 - Wisla Płock
November 15, 12:00, Myślenice, Zdrojowa 9
The White Star's U-17 team is in 8th place, smack dab in the middle of the league table. Like the U-19 team, the young Wisła players also had to concede superiority to Escola Varsovia in the last round, playing their match away. This upcoming match will be a perfect opportunity for them to get back on the winning track and rejoin the fight for higher positions. However, their rival from Płock certainly won't make this task any easier. Wisła Płock currently sits in 14th place and is in a direct relegation battle, making every match crucial. The Płock side's recent run of games hasn't been particularly successful either, losing an away match to Widzew Łódź. The stakes are high for both sides. For some, points could mean moving up the table, while for others, it could mean staying in touch with safety. All of this promises to be an exciting and fiercely contested match.
Avia Świdnik - Wisła Kraków U-15
November 15, 4:00 p.m., Świdnik, Sportowa 2
The youngest team in the White Star CLJ currently sits in 4th place in the table, though only one point separates them from the top spot. This means that a victory in their next match could put Wisła on the podium just before the second round begins! In the 13th round of the league, Wisła will travel to Świdnik to face local side Avia. The hosts are in a different situation, occupying the last safe position, 10th place, and also need points to increase their distance from the relegation zone. In the previous round, Avia lost to KKP Korona Kielce. The stakes in this matchup are high for both sides: for the hosts, it's a chance to maintain a comfortable position in the table, while for Wisła, it's a chance to finish the first half of the season even as the league leader. It promises to be a thrilling clash!
