Wisła II: A sure victory against Lubań
The White Star's second team has already passed their final test before the league kicks off. On Friday, coach Bartosz Bąk's men comfortably defeated Lubań Maniowy 5-2 at home! Goals for the Reymont team came from Kamil Kaczówka, Mateusz Stanek, Yehor Khromykh, and Dominik Sarga (twice).
The first half of the match was marked by a fierce, evenly matched contest, with each team looking to assert their good form and threaten their opponents with dangerous situations in the penalty area. Both Wisła and Lubań occasionally found the upper hand, attempting to capitalize on opportunities, but the chances were few and far between throughout the first half. The visitors were the first to show their effectiveness, giving Kamil Broda a run for his money in the 12th minute, opening the scoring. The hosts refused to remain passive in the face of their opponents' efforts, and just a few dozen seconds later, they put together a cohesive attack. The ball then reached Mateusz Stanek in the penalty area, who passed the ball to Kamil Kaczówka, who sealed the opportunity with a well-placed shot. Wisła followed up the attack, launching another attack shortly after the goal, which resulted in Mateusz Stanek's goal, assisted by Wiktor Szywacz. Despite the initiative taken by the Krakow team, in the 27th minute the Lubań player went one-on-one, equalizing the score.
High efficiency of the hosts
In the second half, the teams once again struggled for goals, but it was Kraków who took the initiative more often. Wisła's good form paid off in the 54th minute when Yehor Khromykh capitalized on a mistake by the opposing goalkeeper and gifted Wisła a third goal. The hosts refused to settle for this result and continued to search for opportunities in front of Lubań's goal. In the 61st minute, the home side took the lead again, Sławomir Chmiel passing the ball to Dominik Sarga, who extended his team's lead. The scorer, less than fifteen minutes before the end of the match, clinched the victory. Maciej Kuziemka fueled Wisła's attack, then the ball fell to Karol Sałamaj, and moments later to Dominik Sarga, who perfectly placed the ball in the net. In the closing stages, the hosts created another excellent opportunity. Michał Zimon then played a free kick to Arkadiusz Ziarko, who crossed into the penalty area, and Kamil Kaczówka headed it in, but the goalkeeper showed quick reflexes. Marcin Górkiewicz tried to finish the move with a rebound, but once again the Lubań goalkeeper prevailed. Throughout the second half, the visitors continued to plague the Kraków team, but they couldn't find a way to overcome the well-disposed hosts.
