In search of the first points in CLJ
Both of the White Star's junior teams lost their opening matches of the Central Junior League in their respective age groups. They have a chance to redeem themselves this week. On Thursday, the U-17 team will face local team Igloopol in Dębica, and on Sunday, the U-19 team will play a derby match against Cracovia in Rączna. Emotions are sure to be high.
CLJ U-17: Igloopol Dębica - Wisła Kraków, Thursday, 12:00
Unusually, on Thursday, the U-17 team will be fighting for more league points. Coach Patryk Jałocha's men will play away against Igloopol Dębica. In their opening match of the autumn campaign, Wisła lost 3-1 away to Jagiellonia Białystok and will now be looking for their first points of the season.
The Dębica team is in a similar situation. Igloopol was forced to concede superiority to Cracovia in the first round, losing 1-3.
Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon.
CLJ U-19: Cracovia - Wisła Kraków, Sunday, 2:00 PM
Wisła's oldest team, competing in the Central Junior League, will be looking to erase the negative impression they left after their first round and a 4-0 defeat to Jagiellonia Białystok in Myślenice. Coach Karol Nędza's men face a prestigious clash with Cracovia in the second round of matches.
In their opening match, Pasy defeated Pogoń Szczecin 3-0 at home.
The derby match at the Cracovia Training Center in Rączna is scheduled to start on Sunday at 2 p.m.
