Wisła II: Victory in Wiązownica and staying in the third league!

Wisła Kraków's reserves continued their winning streak. On Saturday afternoon, coach Karol Nędza's side played a solid match, earning a 3-0 away victory over KS Wiązownica. The White Star dictated their playing style from the outset, demonstrating greater composure, organization, and efficiency. Arkadiusz Ziarko, Karol Tokarczyk, and Kamil Kaczówka scored for the home side.

The visitors started the match with great confidence and showed their good form from the outset. In the third minute, Filip Baniowski cleverly outwitted a defender and raced towards goal, passing the ball to Maciej Kuziemka. He attempted to get the ball into the penalty area, but the move failed to produce a goal. However, this was only a prelude to what was to come. Just five minutes later, Wisła won a corner kick. Maksym Tsymbaliuk's cross found the net 16 meters, where Arkadiusz Ziarko met it and without hesitation slotted it into the net, opening the scoring. As the game wore on, the Kraków side maintained their advantage, though the hosts remained resolute. The home side managed to threaten Jakub Stępak several times, but to no avail. In one such situation, after a mistake by Igor Woś, the hosts had a real chance to equalize, but the Wisła defender quickly corrected his mistake, preventing their opponents from shooting into an empty net. The visitors continued to confidently pursue the equalizer, never slowing down. In the 20th minute, after Woś's move, Karol Tokarczyk tried his hand, but his shot went narrowly over the crossbar. The hosts created their most dangerous opportunity in the 32nd minute, when, after a cross, a player headed a shot from a few meters out, but the ball sailed narrowly over the bar. Ultimately, however, it was Wisła that struck again. In the 38th minute, Tokarczyk, fouled 30 meters away, stepped up to the plate himself and scored a superb free kick. The Kraków team went into the break with a well-deserved two-goal lead.

Wisła fans have a lot of reasons to be happy

After the break, the pattern of play remained unchanged. The Kraków team remained in control, playing with great defensive responsibility and preventing their opponents from gaining ground. The hosts attempted to surprise Stępak with their attacks, but he refused to yield to the home side's pressure. In the second half, Igor Woś, Mateusz Stanek, and Kacper Chełmecki all had opportunities for the White Star, but the ball remained out of the net for extended periods. However, Wisła didn't give up and consistently built up attacks. Just when it seemed the match would end in a 2-0 victory for Wisła, the substitutes brought on by coach Karol Nędza made their presence felt. Michał Prochwicz calmly broke into the penalty area and passed the ball to Kamil Kaczówka, who with a precise shot made the score 3-0.

The victory against KS Wiązownica is doubly satisfying, because thanks to the three points won in Saturday's match, Wisła guaranteed themselves staying in the Betclic III League competition.
