Wisła II: Draw in Andrychów

The White Star reserve team faced Beskid Andrychów away in the 36th round of the JAKO IV League. The teams were ultimately forced to share the points, drawing 1-1. Dominik Sarga scored the only goal for Wisła.

The visitors initially held the upper hand, but the hosts did everything they could to keep pace. Beskid's players attempted to threaten the White Star in the opening minutes, boldly breaking into the opponents' half, and after one attack, they fired a shot that hit the crossbar. As time went on, the Kraków side took control, and in the 12th minute, Jakub Złoch, with a long pass from his own half, sent the ball near the goal for Maciej Kuziemka to head in. Kuziemka shot, but his shot was slightly off target. Moments later, Andrychów again came close to taking the lead, forcing Jakub Kowalski to intervene again, but the Kraków side refused to give up, consistently launching dangerous attacks. Wiktor Szywacz soon scored from distance, and Oliwier Micek headed in a corner, but both attempts proved unsuccessful.

The teams traded blows until halftime, but the score remained unchanged. Late in the game, Wiktor Szywacz tried to score again, setting up the Beskid goalkeeper. The hosts then created two good chances, but Jakub Kowalski continued his save, preventing the team from conceding.

A duel to a draw

In the second half, the visitors quickly imposed their own rules, attempting to dominate their opponents, and in the 49th minute, Wiktor Szywacz once again proved a nuisance for the hosts. The Wiślak player made a spectacular run into the penalty area, culminating in a shot into the hands of the goalkeeper. A moment of joy for the visitors came in the 55th minute, when the ball reached Mateusz Stanek, who passed from the right to Dominik Sarga, who precisely placed his foot and slotted the ball into the net, finally opening the scoring. Following up on the momentum, Karol Sałamaj struck the opposing goalkeeper with a powerful shot shortly after scoring, and then Michał Zimon sent the ball directly from a corner kick into the Andrychów goal, but both attempts were unsuccessful.

Taking the lead relaxed the Kraków side somewhat, making them lose their composure, which their opponents then tried to capitalize on. Beskid created several good chances, coming close to equalizing, but they weren't quite up to the task. Late in the match, the visitors regained control, but the final say belonged to the hosts, who equalized in the final moments of the match.
