Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1st at 4:00 PM, Wisła II Kraków will have a chance to advance to the final of the Kraków Sub-District Polish Cup! Their opponent will be KS Michałowianka Michałowice.

The White Star's second team, despite a tougher period in the league, continues to prove their worth in the Polish Cup at the local level. In the quarterfinals against Płomień Kostrze, coach Karol Nędza's players played a strong match, winning 5-0. The second half deserves particular praise, as Wisła scored four goals and completely dominated their opponents. The team now has a chance to repeat last season's success; the fight for the trophy and a spot in the final remains within reach. However, to get closer to that goal, the team must first face KS Michałowianka Michałowice in an away semifinal.

Wisła's semifinal opponent will be KS Michałowianka – a team in excellent form this season. The team from Michałowice remains undefeated, boasting a convincing 2-0 victory over Hutnik Kraków's reserves in the cup competition and a resounding 7-3 victory over LKS Niedźwiedź in the league. In the previous Polish Cup, Michałowianka ended their run with a walkover in the third round, but this year they are proving they can be an exceptionally challenging opponent. The team's greatest strength is their attack, led by the team's top scorer, Chibu, who has scored 13 league goals and four cup goals.

Michałowianka boasts ties to the White Star. First-team coach Marek Kowalski revealed that he trained with Wisła's senior team in the 1970s, but a serious injury dashed his dreams of playing for the first team. Michałowianka's colors are also represented by Dawid Nawrocki, a former Wisła academy player, who played for the Wisła Academy from the age of 8 to 16. This won't be the first meeting between the two teams; the last match was played in 2013 as a friendly, which ended with a 3-2 victory for Wisła's reserves.

All this means that the semi-final promises to be not only a sporting clash, but also an important and significant event for both clubs.

The match will be played on October 1, at 4:00 p.m., at ul. Akacjowa 100, Michałowice.
