Wisła II: The end of their cup adventure. Defeat against LKS Jawiszowice.
Wisła Kraków's reserves ended their Polish Cup adventure at the provincial level in the Round of 16. In an away match against LKS Jawiszowice, the White Star was forced to concede superiority to the hosts, losing 3-1. Patryk Moskiewicz scored the only goal for Wisła Kraków.
The match started relatively calmly, although the hosts managed their first dangerous long-range shot in the eighth minute. Moments later, Bartłomiej Fojt's goal was again in the spot when a Jawiszowice player tried his luck from the edge of the penalty area. However, the shot sailed wide of the post. Wisła responded only in the 22nd minute, when Danylo Boiko attempted a bold shot from around 30 meters out, but the ball sailed over the crossbar. The hosts finally got their way in the 26th minute – after a cross from the left, the Jawiszowice striker won the aerial battle and headed the opening goal. Moments later, the referee awarded a free kick after a dangerous footwork inside the Wisła penalty area. Once again, the post saved the visitors from conceding. The Reymont team's best moment of the first half came just before halftime. In the 45th minute, a free kick taken by Wisła Kraków seemed to pose no real threat, but a serious error by the Jawiszowice goalkeeper allowed Patryk Moskiewicz to get to the loose ball and slot it into the empty net, tying the score.
Moskiewicz gives hope, but it is the hosts who celebrate their promotion
After the break, Wisła looked the better side in the opening moments. Filip Baniowski ignited the visitors' attack, winning a corner, which Marcin Bartoń headed over the bar – unfortunately, over the bar. Arkadiusz Ziarko also had his chances, trying to find the net with a shot from outside the penalty area and a dangerous header from close range, and Karol Tokarczyk, but the visitors weren't exactly on target. In the 72nd minute, the hosts won another corner and managed to convert it, taking the lead again. Wisła tried to respond, but a goal dashed their hopes for 3-1 – one of the players won a running duel with Arkadiusz Ziarko and scored with a precise shot to seal the victory.
