Wisła II: Victory against MFK Karvina B

Coach Aleksander Mikhailov's players played their fourth friendly match in preparation for the spring round. The White Star faced MFK Karvina B, a match that ended in a 1-0 victory for the Krakow team thanks to a goal from Karol Tokarczyk.

In the first half, Wisła Kraków had a decisive advantage and often found themselves in the opponents' half, controlling the game and trying to capitalize on opportunities following their opponents' mistakes. The Kraków team created several chances in this period, but lacked effectiveness and precision in their attacks. Despite the home side's dominance, only one goal was scored in this period. In the sixth minute, Yehor Khromykh passed the ball to Karol Tokarczyk, who delivered a precise shot from the 16-meter mark. The ball deflected off a Karvina defender and then lobbed the visiting goalkeeper into the net. The visitors also continued their attempts, but were mostly limited to actions on the outskirts of Wisła's penalty area. Up to the 16-meter mark, the visitors performed quite well, but they struggled to penetrate the White Star's penalty area. As a result, they didn't create any serious scoring opportunities. Karvina's wingers, who showed off their individual skills several times, caused trouble for Wisła's defenders, but they lacked effectiveness in the final stages of attacks.

Victory and important experience

In the second half, the visitors began to enjoy more possession, but this didn't translate into a threat in front of Wisła's goal. The visitors tried to capitalize on their wingers, who still managed to surprise the Kraków defense, but their moves failed to produce any goals. Wisła, however, made significantly more unforced errors in this part of the match. Dawid Gap had one of the best chances for the White Star in the 70th minute. After receiving the ball, he charged towards goal and found himself one-on-one with the keeper. Unfortunately, his shot from a tight angle hit the side netting.
