Wisła II: Victory against Wolania
The White Star team hosted Wolania Wola Rzędzińska in the penultimate round of the JAKO IV League. The match ended in a 2-1 victory for the home side, with Michał Zimon and Wiktor Szywacz scoring for the Reymont team.
From the very beginning, coach Bartosz Bąk's men were focused on gaining possession quickly and launching a dangerous attack that could threaten the opponents' defense. The hosts weren't particularly welcoming, seizing the initiative without any major problems, pushing into the Wolania penalty area. Wisła managed to demonstrate their effectiveness as early as the 10th minute, when, after a well-executed move, Michał Zimon found the back of the net, opening the scoring. As the game progressed, the Kraków team increasingly asserted their position on the pitch, creating further opportunities in the Wola Rzędzińska penalty area. Marc Grau tried his hand with a long-range shot, and moments later, Piotr Ćwik tried to surprise the visiting goalkeeper in a similar way, but both attempts failed to find the back of the net. Soon, the young Spaniard again tried to trouble the visitors, but this time, the player sent the ball across the face of goal. Wiktor Szywacz also attempted to cap off the Reymont team's attacks with a shot on target, forcing the Wolania goalkeeper into action. Bartosz Bąk's men created one of the better chances of the half five minutes before the end of the first half, when a player blocked Wiktor Szywacz's shot, and then Mateusz Stanek attempted to finish, but again the ball hit an opposing player. Throughout this period, the visiting team also attempted to intimidate the Wisła goalkeeper several times, but their efforts were quickly tempered by the home team's defense.
Good disposition of the White Star
In the second half, Wisła's reserves continued to dominate, creating further shots, but the visitors capitalized on a moment of distraction from the Kraków side and equalized in the 48th minute. From that point on, both teams once again battled for the lead, but the home side clearly outweighed the opposition and created more chances. The White Star responded to the conceded goal quite quickly, scoring in the 55th minute through Wiktor Szywacz. Piotr Ćwik sent a through ball to the Wisła captain, who fired it in, and the ball deflected into the net. The Reymont side also had plenty of chances in the following minutes, with the home side having opportunities to extend their lead thanks to strikes from Maciej Kuziemka, Oliwier Mick, and Marcin Bartoń. Dominik Sarga, however, put in a strong effort late in the period, but his long-range shot was saved by the goalkeeper. Moments later, the first-time goal scorer passed the ball to the young striker, who took a close-range shot, but again, it was unsuccessful. The opposition also continued to push forward after the break, managing several good moves that Wisła had to fight back from a deficit, but none of them resulted in a second goal.
