Wisła II: Lost sparring with Wieczysta
The White Star reserve team has already played their first friendly match. Wisła Kraków faced second-division side Wieczysta Kraków on home soil and ultimately lost 9-1. Dawid Gap scored the only goal for the home side.
The home side showed a strong performance early on, looking to dominate their opponents and dictate the tempo of the game. Maksym Tsymbaliuk tried his hand at the game in the fifth minute, firing a long-range shot that proved no trouble for the Wieczysta goalkeeper. Wisła continued their relentless attack, and Michał Zimon tried to give the visitors a run for their money. The White Star player's long-range shot ricocheted off an opposing player and headed towards goal, but ultimately fell to the keeper. As time went on, Wieczysta began to press harder and increasingly assert their position on the pitch. In the 21st minute, Semedo led a move down the left wing, then crossed into the penalty area, where the ball deflected off Maksym Tsymbaliuk's foot and into the net, allowing the visitors to regain the lead. Wisła's response came seven minutes later when Szymon Kawała passed the ball to Dawid Gap, who in turn slotted into an empty net from just a few yards out, leveling the score. However, Wieczysta quickly regained their advantage, and in the 30th minute, Pietrzak sparked a brilliant save, slotting the ball into the net directly from a free kick. The visitors scored two more goals before the break: Wolicki's cross past Chuma in the 41st minute, and Łysiak put his team ahead 5-1 just before halftime.
The great effectiveness of the Perpetual
After the break, Wisła attempted to reverse the unfavorable result, but their opponents fielded a truly strong eleven, clearly giving them the advantage on the pitch. Wisła focused primarily on defending against the visitors, who firmly controlled the game in the second half. Wieczysty's players repeatedly created scoring opportunities, and Torres converted one in the 52nd minute, giving his team their fifth goal. Torres found the net again in the 69th minute, "flipping the ball over the shoulder" to Wolicki, giving the visitors their sixth goal. Despite their best efforts, the hosts were unable to stop their onrushing opponents, while Wieczysty's players capitalized on the hosts' mistakes and turnovers. In the 74th minute, Goku precisely headed the ball under the crossbar, and three minutes later, after a free kick, Feliks scored Wieczysty's eighth goal. Torres put the finishing touches on the game by hitting the crossbar in the 83rd minute.
