U-19: Derby Victory!

Coach Karol Nędza's players finished the season in the best possible fashion this year! The Kraków team sealed a successful autumn campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Cracovia, thanks to goals from Radosław Wójcicki, Dawid Gap, and Szymon Kawała. Wisła will spend the winter break in second place in the U-19 Central Junior League.

Much of the first half was dominated by a close contest, with play in midfield and a fierce battle between both teams to take control of the match. For a considerable period, neither team was able to carve out a clear shot, but the visitors were the first to take the lead. In the 25th minute, Wiktor Sierda made a mistake, letting the ball slip out of his hands, and a Pasy player immediately got to it, trying to find the back of the net. The home goalkeeper recovered and saved the game. The home side didn't have to wait long for a response – just a few dozen seconds later, Radosław Wójcicki converted a corner kick and slotted home from close range. Wisła's lead galvanized their opponents, who had a golden opportunity to equalize after a few minutes, but a Cracovia player chipped the ball off the post after a set piece, and the White Star goalkeeper showed quick reflexes on the rebound. The scorer of the first goal for Wisła also had his chance, but in a one-on-one situation the opponents' goalkeeper successfully intervened.

Three goals for three points

After the break, the White Star players took the initiative, and exactly three minutes after the break, Dawid Gap showed off his efficiency, extending his team's lead. However, the hosts weren't done, and moments later they were able to celebrate their third shot on target. Szymon Kawała scored, firing a shot straight into the top corner from the left side of the penalty area. As the match progressed, the teams continued to search for further opportunities to create threats in front of the opponents' goal. The home side did everything in their power to surprise their opponents and dominated until the very end, but the visitors also persisted, constantly trying to reduce the deficit. Ultimately, neither team managed to find the back of the net, so it was the Reymont team that took the three points.
