U-17: Widzew defeated!
In the 27th round of the U17 Central Junior League, Wisła Kraków hosted Widzew Łódź in Myślenice. The hosts put in a strong performance in the first half, scoring twice and ultimately winning 2-1 despite a late surge from the visitors.
The match started dynamically, with both teams setting a high tempo from the outset. Wisła quickly seized the initiative and opened the scoring in the 21st minute. After a well-executed move into the Widzew penalty area, Milan Olej received the ball and with a precise shot gave the visiting goalkeeper no chance. The Kraków side refused to stop and continued their offensive attacks. Their consistency paid off in the 36th minute, when Michał Chramiec scored again, confidently capitalizing on the opportunity to extend Wisła's lead to 2-0.
After the break, Widzew attempted to turn the tide. Łódź had the home side under control more often, but the White Star's defense was impeccable. It wasn't until stoppage time that the visitors managed to score a goal – after a long period of play, the ball found the Wisła net, tying the score at 2-1.
