U-15: match against DAP Dębica postponed

Due to heavy rainfall, Saturday's fourth-round match of the U-15 Central Junior League, in which Wisła Kraków was scheduled to host DAP Dębica, was canceled. A downpour struck just minutes before kickoff, rendering the AWF pitch unplayable. After consultations between both teams and the referees, the match was postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

The U-15 team was unlucky with the weather on Saturday morning. Earlier, the U-16 team had played at the AWF facilities, thrashing Podhale Nowy Targ 10-0.

The weather, however, wasn't kind to their younger teammates. Coach Dawid Ślusarczyk's players managed to get out for a warm-up, but around 12:15 p.m., a storm hit Krakow.

"Within two minutes, the pitch was completely flooded. The start of the match was initially delayed by 20 minutes, but after consulting with the opposing coach and the referees, we didn't want to wait any longer. The rainfall was too heavy, and there was no guarantee the pitch would be playable. The drainage simply couldn't keep up with the water," explains Dawid Ślusarczyk, the U-15 team's coach.

We'll soon find out the new date for this match. According to the regulations, it must be played by September 25th.
