U-19: Return from Wrocław without points

Wisła Kraków U-19 faced Śląsk Wrocław away in the ninth round of the Central Junior League. The White Star initially controlled the match, but ultimately, it was their opponents who secured the three points, defeating the Kraków side 4-1. Eryk Daczewski scored the goal for the Reymont team.

The first half of the clash in Wrocław was dominated by the visitors. Coach Karol Nędza's men attacked from the outset, searching for opportunities to open the scoring, causing havoc in front of Śląsk's goal. The hosts had to contend with intense pressure from their opponents, and as a result, they never seriously threatened Wisła. The White Star team bravely marched towards victory, but they managed to find their winning goal late in the half when Eryk Daczewski headed the ball into the net from a corner kick. After the break, the visitors pushed to extend their lead, but their plans were thwarted by a red card for Eryk Daczewski for a foul on an opponent. The referee awarded Śląsk a free kick, which they capitalized on without any major problems, equalizing the score. Wisła's unfavorable situation motivated their opponents, giving them confidence in their own abilities and beginning to attack Wisła with increasing boldness. Shortly after, the hosts once again capitalized on the visitors' mistakes, conceding three more goals in the space of 20 minutes. The Kraków side were forced onto the defensive and tried their best to ward off further attacks. The game's complexion began to change only towards the end, when the visitors began to regain control, pushing for a second goal, but ultimately were unable to turn the tide.

"We played two completely different halves today. The first half was marked by our achievement of our goals, while the second, after the red card, completely got out of hand. To sum up, we feel quite dissatisfied after this match, and the aforementioned red card and playing with a man down are no excuse. We shouldn't have lost this match so badly."
