U-17: Draw with Cracovia

The U-17 team faced Cracovia in an away derby on Saturday. The Wisła team from Rączna returned with a single point, having played to a goalless draw with Pasy.

The first half hour of the match was clearly dominated by Patryk Jałocha's side, who frequently found themselves in the opponents' penalty area. The young Wisła players created numerous excellent opportunities, but lacked the finishing touches that would have allowed them to take the lead. The opponents tried to intercept the ball effectively, but were unable to hold on for long. Eventually, they too took the lead, launching a dangerous counterattack that left one player one-on-one with Kacper Pisarek, but the Wisła goalkeeper made a spectacular save. In the 30th minute, the visitors earned a corner kick that found the back of the net, but the referee deemed the young Wisła player had handled the ball in the penalty area, awarding a free kick to the home side. In the final 10 minutes of the half, fatigue became apparent, and Cracovia began to dominate possession, but this didn't lead to any clear-cut chances.

One point won

After the break, the Pasy players got to work and began pressing their opponents hard, but during their brief dominance, they only managed to threaten Wisła's defense once. After that, the White Star players began to take control again, creating chances, but they weren't exactly perfect. Maksymilian Podwysocki twice burst into the penalty area with the ball, attempting to shoot, and was blocked by Cracovia defenders both times. In the 87th minute, Alan Bąk headed the ball from close range, but again, the ball failed to find the back of the net. The opponents were looking to tip the scales in their favor, creating another scoring opportunity, but once again, Kacper Pisarek prevailed.
