U-15: Derby to a draw

The team, led by coach Dawid Ślusarczyk, took on Hutnik Kraków in the 19th round of the U-15 Central Junior League on Saturday afternoon. The match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw, with the points shared. Vladyslav Kovalskyi was the White Star's scorer.

The opening minutes of the match were difficult for Wisła, which was forced to defend against the aggressive Hutnik attack. The hosts imposed a high tempo and intense pressing from the outset, forcing Wisła to play in deep defense. Hutnik quickly seized the initiative, changing the rhythm of the match and preventing their opponents from developing freely. White Star attempted to build on their own goal, but their attempts to attack were unsuccessful. Despite this, the team created chances – in one of them, Sobociński-Prokop hit the crossbar after a brilliant pass with Kowalski, and Wisła almost opened the scoring.

First a severe blow, then the equalization

After the break, the match gained even more momentum. After an hour, the hosts from Hutnik took the lead, capitalizing on a cross from deep. A close-range shot left the Wisła goalkeeper no chance, who failed to save in time. Wisła didn't wait long to respond. Just 10 minutes later, Sobociński-Prokop worked with Kovalskyi, who was presented with a chance. The Wisła player didn't waste the opportunity, scoring from close range to equalize the score. After the goal, Wisła gained confidence and began to seize the initiative. The team increasingly maintained possession, searching for a winning goal. Hutnik, in turn, attempted to counterattack, but the visitors were well-organized defensively. One of the most dramatic chances came from the hosts, as the ball was heading towards Wisła's goal. Fortunately, a Wisła defender cleared it off the line at the last minute, saving their team from conceding a goal. In the final minutes of the match, the White Star created several more chances, but shots from various positions, including close range, failed to find the back of the net. Despite numerous attempts, the score remained unchanged, and the match ended in a draw.
