U-15: derby win against Hutnik

The Wisła Kraków U-15 team followed up their victory in Starachowice with a 2-0 victory over Hutnik Kraków in the sixth round of the Central Junior League. Mateusz Surma and Władysław Kowalski were the scorers in the derby clash.

Coach Dawid Ślusarczyk's men quickly settled the derby. In the first minute of play, Mateusz Surma beat the opposing goalkeeper after a cross from Franciszek Szpil.

The White Star players showed no signs of slowing down. Kacper Wolańczyk hit the crossbar with a free kick. And in the 20th minute, Wisła secured their victory.

After Dawid Szpotan received the ball, Władysław Kowalski found the way to the opponents' goal for the second time in this match.

Wisła had several chances to add to their tally in the first half. The same happened after the break, with Marcin Berezka, among others, squandering a good opportunity. In the final minutes, Hutnik were saved by the crossbar for the second time in the match – this time after Dawid Szpotan's long-range shot.

However, the result of the match did not change and Wisła were able to add their third set of points to their account this season.

"I'm pleased with how the match went and how our players played. From the very first minutes, we were determined to open the scoring, and we succeeded in the very first action. We maintained high concentration until the end and controlled the match in every phase. We now focus on next week, where we have two matches ahead of us," concluded U-15 coach Dawid Ślusarczyk.

After five matches, Wisła Kraków's players sit fifth in the table with 10 points (three wins, a draw, and a loss). Wisła Kraków has one more match to play against DAP Dębica. The second test will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd (kickoff at 3:00 PM).

In the next round, Wisła Kraków will play an away match against Stal Rzeszów (Saturday, 3 p.m.).
