U-16: Back to work before league starts
Last week, the U-17, U-19, and reserve teams began preparations for the start of the season, and now their younger colleagues are returning to work. The U-16 team kicked off their preseason on Monday, July 15, with their first training sessions.
The team, led by coach Mickael Wolski, has already completed its first training session. The young Wisła players will prepare for league play over the next five weeks, and according to the plan, preparations will be divided into two main segments. Initially, the team, along with the coaching staff, will focus on the physical aspect, including strengthening endurance and performance, as well as developing technique. In the next phase, they will move on to implementing tactical elements in match situations with increased intensity.
During the preseason, the players will test their progress during several important friendlies. The White Star will face Hutnik Kraków on July 19th, then compete in the Budapest Iduana Cup on the weekend of August 3rd and 4th, and then face the Polish National Team from the USA on August 7th. The Krakow team has two additional friendly matches planned, details of which will be announced soon.
"I'm usually an optimist, so I always start work with a positive attitude and with the goal of getting off to the best possible start and achieving the highest possible position in the league. The group we'll be working with is mostly made up of new players, so I'll need time to analyze and evaluate the players in order to take appropriate action to create a strong group and build a competitive environment where the boys will compete, but also motivate each other. My goal is to teach these players how to win matches while respecting their opponents, but I'm also responsible for ensuring the group functions well so that the boys influence each other, pushing them to develop and exceed their own limits. I realize that the boys will also strive to join the Myślenice teams playing in the Central Junior League next year. I'll try to do everything in my power to help them achieve this, but this will require the appropriate level of play and results," said coach Mickael Wolski.
Sparring schedule:

- August 3-4 - Budapest Iduana Cup
- August 7 - Polish National Team from the USA
