U-14: second place in the MZPN Elite Youth tournament
Wisła Kraków U-14 players finished second in the Elite Youth Cup organized by the Małopolska Football Association. In the tournament, held at the Tramwaj Kraków stadium, coach Michał Tyrka's players were forced to concede victory to their peers from Cracovia in the final.
In the tournament, played on the artificial turf of the stadium on Praska Street, Wisła secured two group stage victories, securing an automatic ticket to the final. First, they defeated their peers Garbarnia Kraków 3-1, and then, after a 2-2 draw in regulation time, they defeated Sandecja Nowy Sącz 2-1 on penalties.
In the final, Cracovia proved to be better than the White Star players, winning 2-0.
"I'm generally pleased with the players' performance, as we performed well in terms of possession and creating chances. In the final, we lacked determination, which was a key element. And unfortunately, we didn't manage to win," sums up coach Michał Tyrka.
