U-15: Full set for the opening match
The U-15 team entered the Central Junior League in top form. Coach Dawid Ślusarczyk's men comfortably defeated BKS Biłgoraj 1-0 away on Sunday, thanks to a goal from Adrian Kuźma.
The match against BKS Biłgoraj was the U-15s' opening game of the season, and the White Star controlled the game from the outset. In the first half, Wisła posed the greatest threat from set pieces and attacks down the sidelines. Vladyslav Kovalskyi had a great opportunity to open the scoring, but he hit the crossbar. Kacper Kopijka also had a chance later, but he couldn't beat the Biłgoraj goalkeeper. The first half saw Kraków's attacking presence in the opponent's half was clearly dominated by the hosts. The hosts attempted to threaten with counterattacks, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The second half didn't change the pattern of the match, and the visitors continued to dominate. The substitutions created more space on the pitch, which Kacper Wolańczyk capitalized on, passing the ball into space for Adrian Kużma. The goalscorer easily passed the goalkeeper and fired into an empty net.
"Winning the first match of the season is always a motivation to continue working. I think the match in Biłgoraj was difficult for us, but we coped with the task. The weather conditions were demanding for both teams, and the intense interest from the local fans affected their mentality. The large number of goal-scoring opportunities created by our team is a very good sign for the upcoming matches. We are happy that we feel very good about creating on the pitch, and it brings a lot of joy to the players," said coach Dawid Ślusarczyk.
