U-19: Warta defeated!
The U-19 team hosted Warta Poznań on Saturday morning and once again showed excellent form, securing a perfect score. The match ended in a 2-0 victory for the home side, thanks to two goals from Radosław Wójcicki.
From the opening moments of the match, the Kraków team asserted their dominance over their opponents, pressing them hard and launching dangerous attacks. Coach Karol Nędza's men invaded the Poznań penalty area, attempting to break through the visitors' defense and find a way to their goal. There were plenty of opportunities to do so, but the opening goal wasn't immediately forthcoming. Hugo Woyna-Orlewicz had the best chance to give Wisła the lead in the first half, taking a penalty kick around the 20th minute, but he failed to beat the opposing goalkeeper. The visitors, on the other hand, continually disrupted Wisła's good runs, attempting to threaten their goal, but they managed only one scoring opportunity before halftime.
Two hits and three points
After the break, the Kraków team immediately began to fight for possession and a much-needed goal. The home side consistently attacked their opponents and patiently executed their goals, finally enjoying their lead. In the 61st minute, Radosław Wójcicki found the back of the net after a cross from the sidelines, giving his team their first goal. The young player's display of skill continued. Exactly five minutes later, the same player unleashed a left-footed shot from outside the penalty area, scoring his second goal. The home side held firm until the very end, maintaining control of the game, but the score remained unchanged.
"Of course, we're happy with another win, as it has a positive impact on the atmosphere and makes us work better. However, we must remember that there are still elements of our game that need improvement. We are constantly focusing on developing the individual skills that a player playing in a given position must possess. Each match is a valuable lesson for us and provides us with material to analyze the progress we've made and the aspects that require more work in the coming week. Therefore, we are primarily focused on this development and achieving a positive result, but only by completing our tasks at a good level. We always approach matches with the desire to win and the will to fight," said Karol Nędza, the U-19 team's coach, after the match.
