U-19: Split points with Lechia
In the 20th round of the CLJ U-19, Wisła Kraków hosted their peers Lechia Gdańsk in Myślenice. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Tomasz Dusik scoring the only goal for the home side.
From the opening minutes, both teams struggled to impose their style of play and seize the initiative. Wisła, playing at home, searched for scoring opportunities, while Lechia consistently waited for their opponents' mistakes and attempted counterattacks. Although the first half hour was sparse in terms of dangerous chances, the teams impressed with their organization and defensive solidity.
The breakthrough came in the 37th minute. Radosław Wójcicki spotted Tomasz Dusik racing into space and delivered a precise through ball into the penalty area. The young Wisła player fired a precise shot just inside the post, giving the hosts the lead, and the first half ended with the home side in front.
After the break, the teams returned to action, with the Gdańsk team doing everything in their power to equalize. Their determination paid off in the 60th minute, when they capped a well-constructed move by slotting the ball into the net to make it 1-1.
The final minutes of the match belonged to the home side, who launched an attacking attack in an attempt to regain the lead. They created dangerous chances, but their effectiveness was lacking. Shots either went wide or fell to the well-disposed Lechia goalkeeper. Despite their immense determination, Wisła failed to find a second goal and had to settle for a single point.
