U-17: No points against Górnik Łęczna

Coach Patryk Jałocha's men faced Górnik Łęczna at home in the 13th round of the Central Junior League. The match ended in a 4-2 victory for the visitors, with Milan Olej and Maksymilian Podwysocki scoring for the White Star.

The opening period saw Wisła attempting to gain control of the game. The home side struggled to keep the ball at their feet, but individual errors persisted, and a lack of precision and fluidity in their play allowed the home side to seriously threaten their opponents' goal. The opposition, on the other hand, sought to find the target, launching rapid attacks. In the 33rd minute, Oska Janczy received a red card for blocking a handball from a Górnik player, and the referee awarded a penalty, which the visitors capitalized on. Before the break, the visitors managed to find the back of the net twice more. In the 43rd minute, the White Star goalkeeper misplaced the ball, which fell to a Górnik player, who then passed it to a teammate to extend the lead. The visitors scored the 3-0 goal in the last action of the half, when, after a free kick and an unfortunate intervention by the Wisła goalkeeper, the Łęczna player scored into an empty net.

Better efficiency of Górnik

In the second half, despite playing with a man down, Wisła created significantly more scoring opportunities and took the initiative. In the 53rd minute, Michał Chramiec was fouled in the penalty area, prompting the referee to point to the 11-meter line, and Milan Olej capitalized on a set piece, giving his team their first shot on target. Unfortunately, luck soon returned. After a mistake by a Wisła player, the referee awarded a penalty, and Górnik easily made it 4-1. The hosts managed to show their effectiveness in stoppage time, when Maksymilian Podwysocki got into a dribble, winning a duel with his opponent, and then fired a left-footed shot straight into the net.
