U-15: Defeat in the Derby against Cracovia
The U-15s failed to secure all three points in the derby. Although the young Wisła players took the lead first through Aleksander Wróblewski's penalty, Cracovia turned the tables and ultimately won the derby 3-1. Defensive errors from the home team and the visitors' second-half prowess proved crucial.
The Kraków U-15 derby provided plenty of excitement, although the opening minutes were marked by nervousness and a test of each other's strengths. Cracovia imposed high pressure from the outset, but Wisła skillfully managed to break through, building attacks from their own goal and often successfully bypassing the opposition's lines. The first half didn't see many scoring opportunities. Cracovia created one dangerous opportunity, which Szymon Koładka brilliantly saved. Wisła, on the other hand, responded with a well-organized attack after the opening period – Aleksander Wróblewski's cross was met by a foul shot from Władysław Kowalski. The score remained goalless at halftime.
The second half saw a more open and dynamic game. In the 45th minute, the hosts launched a positional attack that ended with a cross from Wróblewski. The ball found the hand of a Cracovia player, and he confidently converted the penalty, giving Wisła a 1-0 lead. The joy was short-lived, as the visitors responded quickly. In the 50th minute, after a mistake by Wisła in the buildup, Pasy's players gained possession and equalized. Moments later, another blow came – a foul in Wisła's penalty area, and Cracovia took a 2-1 lead after a well-taken penalty. Wisła tried to turn the game around, but it was Kałuża who were more effective. Late in the game, they won the ball and scored a third goal on a counterattack, making the score 3-1.
