Mariusz Jop after the sparring with Sepremvri Sofia: The intensity of the game was good
Coach Mariusz Jop assessed the friendly against Sepremvri Sofia. The intensity of the game was good, but the number of offsides and ineffectiveness in finishing were irritating. The opponent scored after a mistake by Wisła and otherwise didn't create many chances. Jop emphasized that after a week of training, perfection is hard to expect – efficiency is an element that requires constant work.
"Of course, the result isn't the most important thing, but we always play to win. We don't like to lose. This friendly is a summary of the first week of work in Turkey. It was a good time. On the negative side, there was Bozić's injury. As for the plan itself: the physical work, the tactical things we worked on, I think it was a fruitful time. We'll mark this week as a positive," the Wisła Kraków coach summed up his first week on the job.
Summary of the second sparring with Septemvri Sofia
"The intensity of the game was good. The number of offsides and our ineffectiveness were irritating. There were plenty of such chances. The opponent scored against us after a mistake. Apart from that, they didn't create many chances. "I think the opponent was intense, especially in the first half, creating quite a bit of pressure in our half. This was good for us in terms of building our attacks. They set the bar high for us. Of course, the things I'm talking about here that didn't work out, like our efficiency – we know it's hard to expect everything to be tip-top after a week of training. This is something we need to constantly work on, and we'll be utilizing this good pitch we have available for training during this finalization phase," said White Star coach Mariusz Jop.
