Szywacz's beautiful turn with the ball was followed by an equally brilliant finish, giving the White Star a 1-0 lead. Just a few minutes later, Wisła could have doubled their lead, but Kościelniak's shot only hit the crossbar. Wisła's dominance grew, and the results of this advantage came in the 31st minute. Szywacz once again delighted the fans, scoring a stunning goal from outside the penalty area, completing his first-half double. In the 35th minute, Bugaj also made a dangerous comeback with a powerful shot, but the visiting goalkeeper managed to parry the ball.
