Szymon Kawała with a professional contract

Szymon Kawała has decided to commit his future to the club at Reymonta Street! The player has signed a two-year contract with the club, which includes the option to extend for a further year.

Born on January 10, 2007, Szymon Kawała joined the White Star in July 2022, when he transferred to the Kraków club from GKS Katowice. The player impressed with his footballing skills from the start, putting in a lot of dedication in training and demonstrating his good form on the pitch. Last season, he played in the Central Junior League with the U-17 team led by coach Patryk Jałocha, where he quickly became a key player. The young striker played 26 matches, most of them in the starting lineup, and scored 9 goals. Szymon Kawała also made his senior debut. He came on as a substitute for Marc Grau in the league match between Wisła II Kraków and Orzeł Ryczów in the 65th minute.

Motivation for further work

The player didn't hide his excitement about signing his first professional contract. He says it makes him feel appreciated and motivated to continue working hard under the guidance of Wisła's coaches.

"I'm honored to have the opportunity to sign a contract with Wisła. I'm very happy because I feel that my work so far, my good attitude in training and in matches, has been appreciated by the club. I also think that this contract will motivate me to work even harder," he concluded. The young striker also spoke about his relationship with his teammates and his difficult beginnings at the Kraków club.

"I feel very good both in the club and in the team. The guys welcomed me very well, although I must admit that the beginnings weren't the easiest. When I came to Wisła, I didn't know anyone here, but with each passing day I got to know the team better and it got better and better," he concluded.

"Signing a contract with Wisła is an important step in Szymon Kawała's career. The player has clearly defined, ambitious goals for the future, but, as he emphasizes, he currently wants to focus on further development as a footballer, working hard in training, and playing regularly in the league. My main goal is definitely to make my debut for the first team. For now, however, I simply want to play regularly, score goals, get assists, contribute to the team as much as I can, and, most importantly, enjoy playing football."
