#STAWIS: Spring beginnings!
This week, all FORTUNA 1 Liga teams are back in contention. Wisła will play their first match of the spring round on Sunday, February 18th at 12:40 PM. Their away opponent will be Stal Rzeszów, and the match will be officiated by referee Daniel Stefański.
Wisła Kraków are resuming their league campaign with the clear goal of promotion to the Ekstraklasa. Coach Albert Rudé emphasized in his pre-match press conference that his players have had a successful preseason and that everyone in the squad is ready to compete. The coach is without three injured players: Kamil Brody, Patryk Gogół, and Bartosz Talar.
The White Star have already faced Stal twice this season. The first match, in the third round of the league at the Reymonta Stadium, ended in a goalless draw. The two teams met again in December in the Polish Cup Round of 16. That time, Wisła staged a shooting festival in Kraków, winning the match 4-1.
The upcoming match will be played at the Rzeszów Municipal Stadium without the presence of our fans, who would undoubtedly be the 12th player in the R22 team. The event will continue to be broadcast on Polsat Sport or via pay-per-view (PPV).
