Skała: The rival set us difficult conditions
The second-placed team of the White Star has another league clash under their belt. This time, they traveled to Biała Podlaska to face local team Podlasia in the 12th round of the Betclic III League. The match ended in a 2-0 victory for the home side, and Wisła II Kraków player Radosław Skała assessed the match and his team's performance.
The Kraków team approached this match eager to secure a full set of points after a heavy defeat to Wisłoka Dębica, but Saturday's clash with Podlasie didn't go well for them from the start. Their opponents took an early lead, and in the second half, they secured the victory with a penalty kick, securing all three points. Wisła consistently tried to fend off attacks from Biała Podlaska and threaten their goal, but they were unable to demonstrate sufficient effectiveness.
"Despite losing the match, I think we can be satisfied with our performance, as we were the dominant team throughout the match. We carried out our tasks on the pitch, but unfortunately we lacked effectiveness. The opponent capitalized on two of our mistakes and emerged victorious."
The Wisła player also noted the good form of his opponents, who were well organised in defence, and their league experience was an additional advantage.
"The opponent presented us with difficult conditions today in this match. Podlasie's players defended their own goal effectively with a large number of players and at times showed greater experience in this league, which definitely helped them win this match."
Wisła hasn't had an easy season in the Betclic III League since the start of the season, and they've been struggling to overcome a losing streak for several matches. So what's the team's approach to the upcoming matches?
"I don't think any of us are happy with the current situation and the lack of points in recent matches. Despite this, the team is motivated and we are optimistic about the upcoming matches."
