Starzyński: The best answer is to play a good match in the cups
Wisła Kraków played another league match. This time, coach Kazimierz Moskal's side faced Arka Gdynia at home. After a strong performance, the White Star shared the points with Arka Gdynia, drawing 2-2. After the match, we spoke with Piotr Starzyński.
The Wisła Kraków player began his analysis of the match by stating that, in his opinion, the beginning of the game belonged to the White Star: "I think we controlled the match in the first half, although from my perspective, the game evened out a bit from the 30th minute onwards, and there were visible attacks from both sides." "The second goal gave us a lot, but unfortunately Arka's counterattack was deadly. That's when they got the wind in their sails. Then we got a red card, and then everyone saw what was happening," he noted.
Wiktor Biedrzycki's red card and Martin Dorotka's no-card-of-the-match are two events that are hard to forget in the context of this match. "There was a lot of controversy in the match against Arka, but we can't blame it all on refereeing decisions. We have to keep working on winning future matches. That counterattack that Arka launched really gave them a lot of energy. They regained their strength, and in my opinion, that changed the complexion of the match," he added.
What were the emotions like in the locker room after the match? "The coach said it was a shame to lose points, but we can't dwell on it too long. We have to focus on the next match, because it's coming up soon and we have to perform at our best. I think the best answer for us will be to play a good match in the cup," he concluded.
