Spend your vacation in the leader's chair
The second round of the PGF Blind Football League will be played in Wrocław on June 8th and 9th. With a perfect record and a three-point lead over second-place Warta BF, the Biała Gwiazda BF team will battle in the capital of Lower Silesia for further victories that will keep them at the top of the table.
Wisła Blind Football Kraków players and staff have two matches ahead of them. On Saturday at 10:00 they will take on BTS Rekord Bielsko-Biała BF, and on Sunday at 10:30 they will play the rematch against the hosts - Śląsk Wrocław BF.
"The Wrocław round will feature fewer matches than the first, but that doesn't change the fact that it will be just as demanding. Matches against newcomers aren't as easy as they might seem, especially for the "heads." The clash with Śląsk is, by definition, a difficult challenge, which will undoubtedly be the highlight of the upcoming round, potentially influencing the final outcome of the competition. We'll do everything we can to ensure this finale is a joyous one for us," said Kacper Domagała, defender for Wisła BF.
In the first round, the Kraków team defeated Warta BF 4-0, Śląsk BF 1-0, and the Zabrze team 6-0. The full set of points and a large number of goals were the result of solid and confident play in each match. Wisła had some time to rest, recuperate, and hone their form for the upcoming round.
"If I had the opportunity, I would gladly copy and paste our performance and results from the first round, but that's not possible, and we have to re-earn the points we could have gained. We've had some time to hone our form, and our players have also participated in national team training camps and friendly matches. I hope that this, combined with our daily work, will yield the desired results. It's all in our hands," added Rafał Kurlit, Biała Gwiazda BF's second-year coach.
Last weekend, BF players participated in a national team training camp ahead of the upcoming tournament in Morocco. It was also an excellent opportunity to intensify their efforts over the course of a few days, which could translate into the upcoming challenge.
"A team training camp is always a potential benefit for all the players in our section, and who are part of it. Although the training sessions were conducted with the African tournament in mind, it's obvious that they may also have an impact on club competitions. However, I won't deny that the daily work at the club will determine how we perform in the next round. We still have a few days to polish a few things, rest, and overcome minor injuries that are bothering some players," noted Dominik Foryś, the section's coach, who is optimistic about the challenge ahead for Wisła BF.
The locker room is calm and composed ahead of the Wrocław round, which, as everyone emphasizes, could be decisive for the entire season. Maintaining our current lead over our rivals would allow for a peaceful holiday, and extending it would only enhance that calm. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this will happen and that the coming weekend will be a perfect one for our BF team.
The PGF Blind Football League round will be played on the weekend of June 8-9 at DSOSW No. 13 in Wrocław at 16 Kamiennogórska Street. We strongly encourage White Star fans to cheer on our players in the capital of Lower Silesia live or via online broadcast, which will be available on the PZSN "Start" YouTube channel.
