Rodado: The goals are good because they gave us three points

Two goals from Angel Rodado secured Wisła Kraków's league victory over Miedź Legnica. The striker restarted his goal tally, improving his individual stats.

"These were very important goals for me, but also for the team. I know they were my first two goals this season, which is obviously very important, but I'm happy above all because they gave us three points in this important match," he began.

The White Star played with two strikers on Friday – positioned slightly higher and lower. How did the R22 striker assess the coach's move? "Good! I think we worked well together. We pressed together. Of course, there were moments when it looked better, others when it looked worse, but overall we're ready to play together. In the end, of course, it's the coach's decision to field us together, but if he decides to do something like this, I think we can play together for the good of the team," he noted.

The match against Miedź wasn't easy, and the opponents kept the Kraków team from doing much for a long time. "We knew, of course, before the match that Miedź is a good team with good players. They managed to surprise us with counterattacks, but Alvaro Raton saved us. We're a team, and sometimes a goalkeeper has to do his job on the pitch. Just like the strikers. We have many good players, and we all work together for the final success," he noted.

It's time for a break for the national team, after which the Wawel players will face more challenging matches – in the league and the Polish Cup. "After this break, we will indeed have many important matches that will lead us to our goal. We know that we will be playing for, among other things, a trip to Warsaw for the Polish Cup final, but we also know that the league is most important to us. We have two weeks to work harder, to better prepare for the upcoming matches. We need to win to move in the direction we have set for ourselves," concluded Angel Rodado.
