Retro match: Wisła - Pogoń Lwów

A retro football match based on interwar rules will be played on the 100th anniversary of Marshal Józef Piłsudski's visit to Wisła's stadium. The competition will take place on November 16, 2024, on the TS Wisła grass pitch at Reymonta 22 (a former racetrack where Wisła also played its home games). The hosts will field a combined team of Socios Wisła, Historia Wisły, and Wisła's old boys, while the visitors will field an experienced Retro League Pogoń Lwów squad. In addition to the match reenactment, a reenactment of Marshal Józef Piłsudski's historic visit is planned.

The event is organized by the Wisła History Association, which brings together the White Star family and the engaged Wisła community around the match. Organizational and communication support is provided by Socios Wisła, TS Wisła Kraków, and TS Wisła Kraków SA. The event is non-profit and serves to preserve the club's historical and cultural heritage.

We are asking for financial support for this initiative (costs include, among other things, the reconstruction of uniforms, media, refereeing, and medical support for the match, and the production of audiovisual materials). The final form and format of the event will depend on the generosity of the Wisła community.
