#CancerNotGraFair – We do!
#CancerNotGraFair – We do! The third edition of the largest nationwide preventive campaign in Polish football will take place in October.
Betclic 1st League, the Young with Cancer Association, and the National Health Fund are joining forces to remind everyone that prevention saves lives. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a disease that affects both women and men. The First Football League is launching its national #RakNieGraFair – My tak! campaign for the third time, and this year's edition promises to be the largest preventative event of its kind in Polish football.
Pink towns, mammobuses, cytobuses and dentobuses
The National Health Fund has become the official partner of the campaign, and will organize "pink preventive towns" near the stadiums on match days of the 12th and 13th rounds of the Betclic 1 League.
Fans will be able to take advantage of free tests and consultations, including:
- mammobuses in selected locations,
- cytobus,
- dental bus,
- ultrasound of the thyroid and testicles in selected locations,
- body composition analyses, blood pressure and glycemia measurements,
- instructions on breast and testicular self-examination,
- dietary and health advice.
Additionally, educational materials, consultations with doctors and dietitians, and workshops for children will be available.
Women – this is your time, but men are also playing for their health
Matchdays 12 and 13 will be a special pink affair. This is when football across Poland speaks loudly about breast cancer prevention, primarily for women, but with a clear message that men should also get tested.
Fans! Bring your mother, sister, wife, partner, or friend to the match and show them that pink is the color of courage and health. Pink towns, free screenings, and life-saving knowledge await at the stadiums. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers, but if detected early, it's fully curable. That's why in Rounds 12 and 13, we're playing for more than just points in the table—we're playing for our health.
Football in pink colors
As part of the campaign, the Polish First Football League will provide each club with pink captain's armbands, which the players will wear in both rounds 12 and 13. Selected stadiums will also host special initiatives: - Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław will be illuminated pink the evening before the match; - Niepołomice Forest will wear special jerseys with pink logos; - selected teams will be escorted onto the pitch by women – including horsewomen, players' partners, and local community leaders; - many clubs will feature pink kit elements, ribbons, and dedicated fan activations.
Coverage like never before
All 18 Betclic 1 League clubs, as well as several Women's Ekstraliga teams, will join the campaign, making #RakNieGraFair the largest nationwide prevention initiative in Polish sports.
For three years, we've been demonstrating that football can be not only a sporting thrill, but also a platform for health education. Thanks to our collaboration with the National Health Fund (NFZ) and Betclic 1st League clubs, we can reach hundreds of thousands of fans across Poland with our preventative care message. Cancer isn't fair – but we're playing together to defeat the disease," emphasizes Patrycja Lisiecka, campaign coordinator and representative of the 1st Football League.
