Reserves: Opening victory against Watra
The White Star reserve team faced Watra Białka Tatrzańska at home in their first match of the spring round of the JAKO IV League. Ultimately, the Kraków team claimed victory and a perfect record, defeating their opponents 2-1 thanks to two well-taken goals from Wiktor Szywacz.
The teams approached the match motivated to quickly establish a lead and secure a crucial victory, which was evident from the opening moments. The Kraków team immediately began to execute their goals, striving for coherent attacks after the referee's whistle, with Marc Grau taking a shot on goal after one of them. However, the opening score was delayed. The home side finally achieved their goal in the 15th minute, when the referee awarded a penalty following a foul on Wiktor Szywacz, and moments later, he confidently beat the opposing goalkeeper, making use of the penalty. In the first half, both teams patiently attempted to dominate their opponents, but it was the Kraków team that looked the better side and remained dominant. Wiktor Szywacz and Filip Baniowski, attempting to convert Marc Grau's corner, had further chances to add to the score before halftime, but neither player was able to find the net. In the 35th minute, the home side took the lead again, courtesy of Jakub Niewiadomski, who sent a free kick over the wall, aiming to challenge the opposing goalkeeper, but the goalkeeper showed quick reflexes. The hosts didn't give up, and just before halftime, Mariusz Kutwa had another attempt. Following a pass from Jakub Złoch, he headed the ball to Wiktor Szywacz, but the player couldn't find the net, keeping the score unchanged at halftime.
Three points of the White Star
After the break, both teams had plenty of good chances, but once again it was the Kraków team that proved more effective. In the 53rd minute, Wiktor Szywacz intercepted the ball and slotted it into the net with a precise shot from just outside the penalty area, giving his team their second goal. The two-goal lead seemed to have calmed the Kraków team down too much, and their opponents began to capitalize on this, creating scoring opportunities. In the 62nd minute, they finally secured their goal with a goal. The goal further fueled the visitors, leaving the home side to fend off their attacks. The visitors managed to create several threats in front of the White Star's goal, but nothing came of it. As the match drew to a close, both teams became more nervous, but the home side nevertheless created at least two more good chances. In one of these, Karol Tokarczyk played a perfect pass to Kamil Kaczówka, who headed the ball into the penalty area, but lacked a powerful finish. In stoppage time, Karol Tokarczyk tried to threaten the opponents' goalkeeper with a long-range shot, but this time the opponents' goalkeeper parried the shot.
