Paweł Pierzchała, Honorary President of the Vistula History Association
Members of the Vistula History Association at the General Meeting on February 3, 2024 decided to award Paweł Pierzchała the title of Honorary President.
"Our organization's statute provides for the possibility of awarding this distinction in recognition of outstanding contributions to the establishment and development of the Association. We had no doubt that Paweł's achievements in documenting and popularizing the history of Wisła Kraków should be honored with such a distinction," explains the Association's president, Zdzisław Skupień.
"The Wisła History Association supports us in various initiatives concerning the club's past, and Paweł Pierzchała's knowledge and experience guarantee the highest level of expertise. We are very pleased with his recognition and join in congratulating him and thanking him for his work contributing to the history of Wisła Kraków!" adds Karolina Kawula, spokesperson for TS Wisła Kraków SA.
Paweł Pierzchała graduated in history from the Jagiellonian University. In 2006, he published "With a White Star in My Heart," a monumental biography of Henryk Reyman. Thanks to years of painstaking work, the author presented the legendary Wisła footballer and lieutenant colonel of the Polish Army as comprehensively as possible. This book significantly contributed to the growing interest in history among Wisła fans. Paweł Pierzchała subsequently co-founded the website www.historiawisly.pl.

He is also one of the founders of the Wisła History Association, an organization dedicated to preserving the sporting and cultural heritage of the White Star.
