Lost to Iskra Tarnów

Yesterday, Wisła Kraków players played in the 19th round of the 3rd league hosted Iskra Tarnów away. The match ended Wiślaczki's 3-0 defeat.

From the very first moments of the match, the visiting team from Krakow tried to seize the initiative and create scoring opportunities. Unfortunately, none of these attempts resulted in a goal. In the 27th minute, their opponents ruthlessly exploited a counterattack and, after individual defensive errors, they defeated Wisła's goalkeeper A few minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty, and the home team was already 2-0 up. The second half saw little change. Wisła Kraków continued to create scoring opportunities, but were unable to convert any of them. In the 78th minute, Iskra made it 3-0 with another counterattack.

TS Iskra Tarnów - Wisła Kraków 3:0

Wisla Kraków lineup: Kowalczyk - Heryan, Dąbrowska (85' Zelek), Włodarz (55' Fryczek), Siwek (46' Lorenc), Łatka, Kokoszka, Pokorniak (55' Skibińska), Mikulińska (46' Łagowska), Sobolewska (75' Dudek), Kuciel (85' Górecka).

" We had a game plan and knew what to expect. Despite this, we were surprised by a long ball and a goal after a mix-up near the goal, and after a situation in which we had a chance to score. Iskra, focused on counter-attacking, scored against us in their next opportunity after a questionable penalty kick. We played much better in the second half, but our effectiveness was still lacking.
Towards the end of the match, Iskra's team once again launched a successful counterattack, and ultimately, the team from Tarnów won 3-0. Our team's commitment and fighting spirit were undeniable, but the final result was determined by the opponents' top-league experience, supported by several young, talented players,"
summed up coach Tomasz Kaleta.
