At R22: 18-24.03

Another week has passed, during which many important events took place with the White Star in the background. So we decided to remind you of what happened at Reymonta Street in the last seven days.

Wisła wins the first Adam Musiał and Andrzej Iwan Memorial

A football celebration for young players took place last weekend on Dekerta Street. In a special match dedicated to Wisła Legends – Adam Musiał and Andrzej Iwan – the White Star won, and in the final one of the goals was scored by… the grandson of the outstanding defender, Oliwer Musiał.

Andrzej Iwan and Adam Musiał are figures who have made their mark on Wisła Kraków's history. Outstanding players, members of the Polish national team, World Championship medalists, and players with a strong character and a willingness to sacrifice.

The tournament is not only a great opportunity to test your football skills against domestic rivals, but also to get to know the club's legends better. The event was organized by the Wisła Kraków Academy, the 21 Football Academy, and the AJ Hearts Foundation, with the Wisła Historia Association as a partner, who assisted with the substantive preparations.

The U-10 teams participating in the Memorial included – in addition to Wisła Kraków – AP21, Banik Ostrava, Cracovia, Górnik Zabrze, Hutnik Kraków, ROW Rybnik, Wanda Kraków, Wieczysta Kraków, Wisła Kraków, Wisła Kraków London and Zagłębie Sosnowiec.

The group stages concluded with the quarterfinals, where Wisła faced Cracovia. The White Star gave their peers no chance, recording a 4-0 victory. In the semifinals, Banik defeated Hutnik 2-1, and Wisła Zagłębie Sosnowiec 2-0. The final was won—of course—by Wisła Kraków, who defeated Banik 2-0. The Legends' families were watching the action on the pitch, and some of them even showed up on the pitch! Tomasz Musiał and his son Oliwer were involved in the final match. Referee Tomasz Musiał officiated the crucial match, and his son scored one of the goals. The second goal was scored by Kamil Mrozowski.

Congratulations and we look forward to the next editions!

WIŚLACKIE EKUBKI coming in April at R22!

The decision to introduce eco-cups at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium in Kraków is a step towards improving the quality of fan service and generating additional revenue for the Club. The reusable, deposit-back eco-cups system has been popular in many European sports arenas for many years, and now – thanks to the involvement of Socios Wisła Kraków members – it will also debut at the stadium at R22!

The introduction of a new product to the Municipal Stadium during White Star matches is also another step in the development of the Wiślackie brand project, which brings real benefits to both the Club and the Association. Thanks to Socios' investment in beer distribution equipment at the stadium, Wiślackie beer has been available at the facility for over two years. In November of last year, the investment was repaid from profits from the beer's sales, opening the door to further development and the next stage of the project.

Replacing disposable cups with durable, deposit-refundable eco-cups will significantly reduce waste at the stadium. These cups also provide a unique souvenir for fans thanks to their collectible touch. Their introduction will also improve the quality of beverage consumption at matches.

The eco-cups system is simple: when purchasing a drink, fans receive a cup, for which a refundable deposit is charged. After consuming the cup, they can return it and receive the deposit, or, waiving the deposit, keep it.

Once again, we would like to thank Socios Wisła Kraków for their exceptional commitment and cooperation in implementing another project aimed at ensuring the Club's continued development. We are delighted that the Association's members supported this initiative in the vote and have once again placed their trust in us.

You too, join Socios and support the White Star!

#WISSTA: Sparring defeat against a league rival

Wisła's friendly match played during the international break ended in a 1-2 defeat to Stal Rzeszów. Dejvi Bregu scored the only goal for the White Star.

The match began in a quiet manner, with both teams focusing on possession and midfield play. The visitors were the first to attack, but the ball drifted over the bar. Bregu responded with a shot, but his shot also went wide. The following minutes saw a similar pattern, although the home side held possession more often, forcing their opponents to defend and commit fouls.

In the 14th minute, the action moved into Wisła's penalty area, but ultimately without any threat to the goal, guarded by Raton. In the 18th minute, Eneko fouled Wisła in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick. However, Raton saved the penalty, keeping the score at 0-0 after Kutwa fouled Hrosu.

After 25 minutes, Stal attacked with more courage and pressed the White Star, but the Kraków team played well defensively. Albert Rude's players also had opportunities, specifically Dawid Olejarek, who attempted a surprise shot but was blocked. Five minutes before the end of the first half, Wisła took the lead. Jaroch, on the right wing, initiated the opening move, passing to Żyro, who then passed to Bregu. The midfielder made no mistake, slotting the ball into the net.

That wasn't the end of the scoring for the half, however. Just before the referee blew the whistle for the players to return to the locker room, Olejarek illegally stopped an opponent in the penalty area, and Karol Łysiak beat Kacper Szewczyk with a confident shot under the crossbar.

One goal after the break

The start of the second half didn't bring any clear-cut chances. The first chance arrived in the 55th minute, when Sobczak raced with the ball and passed it to Żyro, who spotted Baena, who was bursting into the penalty area. However, the Spaniard couldn't get a shot on target from close range. Moments later, Sobczak made his presence felt again, but the opposition managed to clear the ball for a corner. Eneko headed a cross from the corner, but his shot went wide of the post.

Moments later, a rushing Alfaro raced into the penalty area, but his opponent beat him, and another corner was awarded. The 70th minute saw another Wisła attack. This time, thanks to Omrani, who failed to get on the scoresheet. Twelve minutes before the end, Stal Rzeszów made it 2-1. Krzysztof Danielewicz slotted the ball right under the crossbar, converting a free kick. The Kraków team fought for an equalizer for the remainder of the match, but their final passing was lacking precision. A series of set pieces also proved ineffective, and the match ended in a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
