Beat the Highlanders: #WISTSP match preview
The FORTUNA 1 League season is entering its decisive phase, and Wisła Kraków will play its next match on Friday, April 26th at 8:30 PM. Their opponent in the 30th round of the competition will be Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała. After a short break, football returns to the stadium on Reymonta Street.
The domestic competition is inevitably drawing to a close, and the final stretch is practically upon us – in exactly one week, coach Rudé's players will take to the pitch at the National Stadium to compete for the coveted trophy. Before that happens, however, they face one of five league finals, the first of which will be a clash against Podbeskidzie.
For our opponents, the trip to Kraków is a chance for a last-ditch effort. With five rounds remaining, the Górale are 17th in the table, eight points from safety. The chances of Jarosław Skrobacz's team seem largely a matter of mathematics, but football has a history of creating all sorts of scenarios. A strong performance against Wisła could be a significant mental boost for the Bielsko-Biała team and perhaps the first step towards a positive conclusion to the season.
The White Star team has no time for rest at the moment. Matches are taking place every few days, and every point is precious. The playoffs are incredibly tight, causing the top half of the table to shift with almost every match. In reality, every goal counts, because with the same number of points, the order is decided by goals and head-to-head record. The only surefire solution in this turmoil remains victories, and that's precisely what our fans specialize in. Tomorrow evening, they'll fill the stands at our stadium once again!
