Youth football weekend
Active Saturday for U13
The first match was between the junior girls and the Borka Kraków boys' team. The match was full of exciting opportunities and creative play for both teams. Despite the rainy weather, the young White Star players fought bravely on the pitch. They played well throughout the match, but made more mistakes, which the Borka Kraków boys exploited ruthlessly, earning them the three points. The match ended 3-6, with Karolina Utylska, Magda Kędzior, and Zofia Kulig scoring for Wisła Kraków.
In the second match of the junior soccer team, the young footballers faced JKS Zelków. Despite being weakened, the players in blue jerseys approached the match with great ambition from the outset, consistently moving into the right areas of the pitch and creating more and more good scoring opportunities. Krysia Szwedo scored with her left foot, assisted by Julia Wojna, to make it 1-3. Four minutes later, Julia also scored with her left foot, following a brilliant through ball by Wiktoria Zoga, to make it 2-3. The match ended in a 2-6 defeat.
"I'm very pleased with the performance of my players in this match. From the very beginning, they were ambitious, brave, and consistent in achieving their goals. I'm very happy that they scored two very nice goals, which the entire team worked for. Despite losing the match, each player left a lot of health and the proverbial heart on the pitch. Big applause for the girls for going into the match with their heads held high and leaving it the same way, while gaining further experience," concluded Maria Kierzkowska.
U16 loss in the Central Junior League
"Our team had a brilliant start to the match. From the very beginning, we controlled the game and emphasized our advantage with two goals from Skibińska and Bieniek in less than twenty minutes. Unfortunately, in the first half, our opponent reacted very well to the match events, while our team became lax and lost concentration, resulting in us conceding two goals in six minutes at the end of the first half.
Unfortunately, the second half didn't go our way; we lacked patience in opening the game from the goal and concentration in defense. We lost confidence, and unfortunately, our opponent took advantage of this. Nevertheless, we tried to turn the game around until the end, and for that, our players deserve credit. We would like to thank Iskra Tarnów for the match and wish them good luck in their future matches," concluded Adrian Kruba.
