PayerMaker and VEO Analytics in the development of young Academy players

The Wisła Kraków Football Academy continually focuses on developing and improving the football skills of its players. To this end, coaches working with youth teams utilize cutting-edge technology, providing invaluable support in their work with young players. The Academy recently equipped itself with the state-of-the-art PlayerMaker system and VEO cameras, which are used by coaches of the U-15 team competing in the Central Junior League, among others.

The PlayerMaker system is a revolutionary solution increasingly used in training and daily player work at clubs around the world. It primarily monitors the technical and physical aspects of the game, assessing the performance of young players. It collects detailed information about a given player on the ball, their behavior during play, their reactions off the ball, physical demands, and technical versatility. A single set includes 24 trackers and the system. The solution is currently being used by CLJ U-15 players, although it is also planned to be implemented for the U-14 team.

"PlayerMaker provides us with comprehensive data that helps us create personalized training plans, showing a player's strengths and weaknesses and revealing information about technique, so we can, for example, focus on developing a weaker leg or improving overall technical skills. Additionally, the system keeps a comprehensive record of workloads, allowing us to manage the intensity of training sessions, which increases the chance of avoiding injuries and, in the long term, shows the progress a given player has made in terms of performance, technique, and tactics," said CLJ U-15 coach Dawid Ślusarczyk.

Another recently introduced feature are VEO cameras, available to Krakow's teams. The club is equipped with three of these cameras – two are VEO 3 (enhanced with additional AI-based features) and one is VEO2. Veo Analytics serves as a modern tool for analyzing data from recorded matches. The information collected includes team and individual statistics, but it also allows for tracking key moments in a given match, tactical assessment, and includes drawing tools for detailed situational analysis. Furthermore, Veo allows for the creation of individual player profiles, where you can enter information about a given performance, monitor their progress, and create personalized reports. The Veo camera also features a Player Spotlight function, which tracks individual player performance by recognizing their jersey numbers. This allows the system to automatically create match highlights for a specific player, which can then be discussed by the coach and the player themselves. This feature also allows players to add their best moments to their profiles, which can be shared with scouts and coaches. VEO cameras thus support coaches and their players on their development journey by providing a full range of important information.
