Keeping up the momentum: Wisła takes on Arka
The marathon of matches continues, and today, August 19th, Wisła Kraków will host their next opponent. The White Star's league opponent will be Arka Gdynia. The match at the stadium on Reymonta Street will kick off at 7:00 PM and conclude the 5th round of the Betclic 1 League.
The excitement from Thursday's European clash hasn't fully subsided, and Wisła will be back on the pitch. This time, their opponent will be Arka Gdynia, who will be looking for points at the R22 and will be trying to get closer to the top of the table. Wojciech Łobodziński's team has won two, drawn one, and lost one of their four matches so far. Seven points, with a 6-3 record, put them in 8th place in the league.
The last meeting between these two teams at Reymonta Street ended in a resounding victory for the Kraków club. Almost a year ago, Wisła defeated Arkowcy 5-1, with Angel Rodado scoring a hat-trick for the hosts, and the now-missing Goku and Dawid Olejarka adding a goal each. The Gdynia players certainly don't have fond memories of that match, but coach Kazimierz Moskal's players would gladly repeat a similar result.
It won't be easy, though. The Yellow-Blues always present themselves as a demanding opponent with quality players in their lineup. Fatigue after the incredibly long match against Spartak Trnava could also be a disadvantage for Wisła. 120 minutes of running will come back to haunt you at some point, but as our coach emphasized at the press conference, it's a completely different experience when such an effort is successful. We'll get the answers to all these questions tonight as we support our team in their fight for a third consecutive victory!
Forward Vistula!
