The first professional contract for Aleksy Rokosz
17-year-old Aleksy Rokosz has signed his first professional contract with Wisła Kraków. The player, who played for the CLJ U-17 team last season, signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2026. The agreement includes the option to extend for another year .
Aleksy Rokosz was born on June 14, 2007, and took his first steps in football at the Wisła Kraków Football Academy, where he is a former student. He has been with the Reymont club since 2013, and since then, the 17-year-old has been steadily climbing the ranks of the Wisła Kraków Academy. For the young player, whose nominal position is a pendulum, a significant moment was his debut at the Central Junior League (CJL) level in the U-15 age group in 2021. A year later, Rokosz was already representing the CLJ U-17 team, where he also played in the recently concluded season. The young Wisła player has repeatedly proven his good form, earning him the opportunity to showcase his skills with the CLJ U-19 team, making two appearances at that level last season.
In the 2023/2024 season, Aleksy Rokosz played 27 matches in the CLJ U-17 team led by coach Patryk Jałocha, in which he scored 7 times.
The right direction
The young player shared his emotions after signing his first professional contract with the White Star team. He says it's a dream come true, and his football career so far is heading in the right direction.
"This is a special moment in my football career so far. I'm incredibly proud to be able to sign a professional contract with such a prestigious club as Wisła Kraków. I've been dreaming of this moment ever since I joined the Academy," says Aleksy Rokosz.
"I joined Wisła Kraków when I was six, and at that time I didn't treat football as professionally as I do now. At this point, I'm fully aware of where I am and I think everything is going in the right direction. I really hope it stays this way for the rest of my football career. I developed a lot at Wisła Kraków," said the 17-year-old.
The Wisła Kraków alumnus briefly summarized the recently concluded season with the CLJ U-17 team and highlighted his greatest strengths on the pitch. The 17-year-old also commented on the opportunity he received to play for the U-19 team last season.
"I think coach Patryk Jałocha has built a great team. We fought every opponent on equal terms. Of course, in some matches we lacked luck or a bit more determination, but I believe this squad has enormous potential, and we proved it in both tough and easy matches. When it comes to my greatest strengths on the pitch, they are definitely my dynamism and one-on-one play," said the young player.
"I felt very valued by the club for the opportunity to play at the U-19 Central Junior League level. It was a great experience for me to play with older players in this age group. The game is completely different there, but I think I can handle it," concluded Aleksy Rokosz.
Roko, congratulations and good luck!
