Wednesday's Super Cup match ended in a loss for the Kraków team. Although Jagiellonia won the trophy, Wisła's players left their hearts on the pitch at the PGE Narodowy Stadium. After the match, we spoke with the White Star midfielder and standout player of the match, Olivier Sukiennicki.

"I think we performed really well and proved we can compete against an opponent as demanding as Jagiellonia. We tried to dictate the pace of the game, and for most of the match, we succeeded. We created chances, played boldly, and consistently pushed for goals. Unfortunately, we lacked effectiveness, even though we had plenty of chances. Despite the loss, we showed character and can be pleased with ourselves," he said.

When asked about the key elements that led to the defeat, the Wisła midfielder stressed that a lack of effectiveness played a significant role. "Sometimes in football, despite numerous attempts, the ball just won't go in. Today we had more chances than Jagiellonia, and yet they scored and took the trophy," he admitted. "We need to analyze this match, see on video what we could have done better, but we certainly can't blame ourselves for a lack of commitment. We were well prepared, but we lacked that final touch – the effective finishing touch," he emphasized.

Despite the final score, the White Star player also saw positives in his team's performance. "First and foremost, we can be pleased with our fight and commitment, as we were determined to score from the first to the last minute. We showed that we can create chances and play with courage. This is something we must carry over into future matches. Of course, the result isn't satisfactory for us, but if we continue playing like this, I'm convinced that we will start picking up points in the league in the coming matches," continued the White Star player.

The Wisła midfielder's Super Cup match was also special for another reason – it was his first appearance at the PGE National Stadium. "I think I played decently, but obviously, you can always do more. I tried to stick to my tactical guidelines and give my all on the pitch. There were a few moments where I could have made better decisions, but overall, I'm happy with my performance. Emotions were high, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to play here," he concluded.

The cup match also saw the support of Wisła fans, who turned up in large numbers at the stadium. "I'm glad the fans were with us and supported us until the very end. We thank them very much for that. It's really important to us. I hope they'll continue to support us in future away matches." - concluded Sukiennicki.
