Misery: I'm glad we know what we need to work on

Wisła Kraków's senior juniors defeated their peers from Cracovia 4-1 in the second round of the Central Junior League. "I'm pleased that we know what to work on and that we have a committed, hard-working group. I hope we will continue to develop both as a team and as individuals," emphasizes coach Karol Nędza.

After a 4-0 loss to Jagiellonia Białystok in their season opener, Wisła were looking to erase the stain, especially in a high-profile clash with Cracovia. Coach Karol Nędza's men more than managed to do so, dispatching their rivals with a four-goal advantage.

"I don't think we were bad enough last week to lose 4-0, nor good enough to win 4-1 yesterday. Our level of football is somewhere in between. I'm happy that we know what to work on and that we have a committed, hard-working group. I hope we will continue to develop both as a team and as individuals," emphasizes the manager of Wisła's oldest team competing at the CLJ level.

The Pasy team opened the scoring, but before halftime, Hugo Woyna-Orlewicz equalized from the penalty spot. The second half was a resounding success for the White Star.

"We consistently tried to achieve our pre-match goals and what we had been training for over the past week. We didn't change anything at halftime; we told ourselves we were heading in the right direction and that we had to bring our commitment and determination to the pitch. All of this, of course, was supported by our substantive preparation throughout the week. We believed this would give us the desired effect in the form of a good final result," concluded coach Karol Nędza.

After two rounds of matches, the senior juniors have three points. This Saturday, in the third round of the Central Junior League, Wisła will host Pogoń Szczecin in Myślenice. The match kicks off at 11:00 AM.
