Misery: The runner-up position is our reward
The U-19 team finished this year's season in fine style, defeating Cracovia 3-0 in their final home match, taking second place in the CLJ U-19 league table. After the match, coach Karol Nędza praised his players' performance.
The Kraków team has been in excellent form since the start of the autumn season. The White Star players have often not only caused significant problems for their opponents but also found effective ways to dominate them and secure a valuable victory. This was also the case in Saturday's match against Cracovia, which was a brilliant performance by Wisła Kraków players to cap off the entire season.
"This match is a good summary of our entire round, and the result reflects the contribution, commitment, and work put in by the players and coaching staff over the past few months. The team worked really hard during this round and in preparation for it. The runner-up position is a reward for us, but also a motivation to continue working and maintaining this level."
Despite the important three points won, this match may leave a slight disappointment as there were many more scoring opportunities.
"Summing up the match against Cracovia, I must admit that we could have scored more goals, as there were opportunities to do so. Even though we were leading at halftime, I'm not entirely satisfied with how we played in the first half. We only started the second half playing the way we were supposed to play from the first minute. Our dissatisfaction stems not from the missed opportunities to increase the score, but from the game itself and certain unfulfilled goals in the first half."
